How we work

Useful first

Every product starts from a job someone is already doing by hand. If it does not make that job shorter or more reliable, it does not ship.

Narrow tools, done properly

A tool that knows its product can hide the complexity a general tool exposes. We would rather build sixty focused designers than one editor that needs a manual.

Honest about status

Released means released. Prototypes, betas and plans are labelled as such, on this site and in the products themselves.

A founder-led studio

I'm Aldrin. Arabis Works is my independent studio: I design, build and maintain its products myself, from the geometry inside Buildplate Studio to the servers it runs on.

The studio name keeps those products under one roof, and gives the people who use them a clear business to talk to.
